Tayside Woodland Partnerships was registered as a SCIO (SC051345) in October 2021, formed with the objective of establishing and maintaining woodlands in Tayside for habitat restoration and sequestering carbon — contributing to the Scottish Government's target to achieve zero net emissions.

The charity aims to establish at least 10ha of community woodlands in partnership with landowners over the decade 2023–2033, anticipated to sequester around 3,000 tonnes CO?e — approximately 20% of current per capita emissions in Scotland.
