Forres Friends of Woods and Fields is a local grassroots environmental charity based in Forres, Moray, aiming to restore woodlands, support local food sustainability and aid the mental and physical well-being of the community.

To cultivate an understanding and appreciation of nature, with community well-being at its core, through land stewardship and local food sustainability.

At the centre of Forres sits Kennel Wood, part of the larger Sanquhar Woods. The charity conserves and regenerates this area for the Moray community and local wildlife, managing habitats for red squirrels, badgers, pine martens and tawny owls.

Community Garden

The garden is managed organically with no-dig beds, a polytunnel, an orchard with heritage fruit trees, and a solar-powered potting shed. Volunteers are always welcome to help grow trees, vegetables, and create insect habitats.
